CUNNING FOLK FILMS was founded in 2018 following several successful collaborations between co-founders Stephanie Trainer and Karl Nykwest. Combining their respective strengths they aim to tell enduring stories with strong visual content that will resonate deeply with viewers.
Please also check out our debut feature film, The Clearing, a science fiction drama, about a journalist who becomes lost while investigating strange psychological behavior in the wake of a mysterious storm. Currently being submitted to film festivals, The Clearing was recently awarded best sci-fi feature at the london independent film festival.
